In an advertisement for the video game Assassin’s Creed Revelations three athletes are present. The advertisement begins with Derrick Rose who is a professional basketball player pulling up his hoodie shaped like the main character of the video game Ezio’s armor alongside his game statistics followed by Adrian Peterson a game changing running back doing the same thing and then BJ Penn a two time MMA champion lastly the video game hero Ezio Auditore puts on his armor shaped hoodie.
I chose this specific advertisement for my blog because these three celebrities known for their athletic ability were chosen to represent a video game of role playing in a combat situation. This continues to represent athletes in a light of bad boy/rebellious.
This advert belongs to the combat genre. The intense music used sets the tone of the battle style role play along with the dark lighting and seriousness of the athletes facial expressions.

I've seen this ad before and it really caught my eye because of the athletes they used. They capture a wide range of audiences by using NBA, NFL, and UFC stars. BJ Penn is one of my favorite fighters and made me want to buy the game, although I've never played it. It may be a little inaccurate to portray these athletes as assassins, but most know that its just a video game ad and that athletes sell.
